TRAINING IN SPIRITUAL PSYCHIATRY
A one year training on spiritual approaches to mental health is organized
by the International Association of Spiritual Psychiatry..
This training will start in Paris in October 1997.
It includes 108 hours of teaching during the year (one week-end a month).
From what we know, it is the first time that a real training in spiritual
psychiatry is organized.
Here is the program:
-
Marc Bouriche, M.D. - "Spiritual approach to psychotherapy - Art, discipline
and principles of a humanist in psychotherapy, inspired by the great spiritual
traditions".
-
François Darchen, M.D. - "Metaphysical basis of an esoteric psychology
- Applications to psychiatry"
-
Elisabeth Dayot, M.D. - "Mental disease as seen from the perspective of
the Tibetan tradition"
-
Jacques Donnars, M.D. - "The body and mental disease - Nine body oriented
meditations".
-
Brigitte Kashtan - "The question of reincarnation and its implication in
the understanding and therapy of psycho-emotional conflicts".
-
Peter Fenner, Ph.D. - "The observation and dissolution of psycho-spiritual
fixations"
-
Jean-Marc Mantel, M.D. - "Integrating meditation into psychological therapies"
-
Bernard Pernel, M.D. - "The contribution of transpersonal psychology to
modern psychiatry"
-

We hope to set up in future such a training in the States and other countries.
